Caroline Kimmel Pavilion for Arts and Communication at Temple University

Temple University is synonymous with Philadelphia itself.  Throughout its history, Temple has represented opportunity, a stepping stone of advancement, a launch pad for those with drive who are willing to work hard.

With its gift of $27.5 million, the Sidney Kimmel Foundation is investing in Temple University as it embarks on an ambitious strategic plan focused on transforming itself into one of the nation’s premier urban research universities.

The Caroline Kimmel Pavilion for Arts & Communication will bring the Center for the Performing & Cinematic Arts and Klein College of Media & Communication under one roof.  These nationally recognized institutions will come together in state-of-the-art facilities that foster creativity and inter-disciplinary collaborations as well as enhance the broader student and community experience.

“This building will be a jewel on North Broad Street, extending the Avenue of the Arts from the Kimmel Center to the Kimmel Pavilion, and will partner with North Philadelphia in new and meaningful ways,” said David Boardman, Interim Provost and Dean of Klein. “Temple will have the best facility of its kind in the nation.”
